Certified Residential Appraiser
Brent Johnson is a Certified Residential Appraiser in California, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Washington state. He has 40 years of experience in the residential real estate industry,
including valuation, brokerage, development, and mortgage lending.
Currently, Brent is an Assistant Vice President at CIT Bank, as manager of mortgage valuation, and provides outside valuation and consulting services with Res1 Valuation & Consulting, Inc.
Previously, Brent was an Assistant Vice President at HomeStreet Bank, as a collateral risk analyst and manager since 2009; ensuring collateral and valuation quality met FannieMae (FNMA), FreddieMac (FHLMC), and FHA-HUD mortgage criteria. His primary focus includes valuation and highest and best use considerations as they pertain to residential property additions, junior accessory unit conversions, and accessory dwelling units.
Brent is a member of the Appraisal Institute and holds the SRA and AI-RRS designations for residential appraisers. He is also a member National Association of Realtors and holds the RAA appraiser designation.
Brent’s free time is spent around the Southern California sport horse industry where daughter, Racheal Johnson is a Grand Prix jumper, trainer, and coach. He and his wife, Kelley reside in Carlsbad, CA and spend time in Vancouver, Washington and Appleton, Wisconsin where twin sons Eric and Ryan and their wives reside – along with their grandson’s, Duke and Brook.
